Computer casing manufacturer, Chenming Mold Ind. Corp. celebrated the launching of its corporate headquarters in the Neihu district together with its 30th anniversary. During the ball, Chairman Mr James Lin had restated the company's continuous stride towards the 100billion revenue mark.
Corporate President Mr Joe Kao had pointed out that the company's main revenue lies at the ODM of servers and desktop computers, with income ratio at 50:50. However, with the introduction of backlight module parts into the production line during the forth quarter, there would be a possible increase in sales figures next year.
According to analyst, Chenming's cooperation with Fujitsu in the assembly of LCD TV and the integrating of educational system in the American market would help to increase company's revenue by up to 30%.
President Joe Kao stated that the integration of educational system is the product of joint research and development between Chenming and its major client in United States. It includes the ODM of projector, PC and audio system, purchased and assembled together with software design and installation, resulting in higher profit margin per system. Chenming had received orders of up to 500 sets .Due to the lavish price tag on single set, there would be positive effect on next year's financial result.
Chenming has a joint venture with backlight module producer Kenmos Technology(8107) in Ningbo, mainland China, setting up a new production facility with Kenmos controlling 70% share and Chenming 30% share. The first batch of products will be produced in December this year. This signaled Chenming's entry into the backlight module industry.
There are clues that support Chenming's sound investment. With Kenmos and Chi Mei Optoelectronics(3009) having a good business relationship, there are also positive feedbacks being returned on the factory's future business dealings. Chenming's profit in the past 2 years stands at 11%, much higher than its competitors' 5-6%, reflecting a prediction of better result next year.
