Optimistic about the future of digital home electronics, Chenming Mold Industrial, Corp. (UNEEC: 3013) is strategically positioning itself within this consumer market. It expects to launch the first shipment of its new mini barebone series into the European market beginning this January. Fur Fusion, the name of its mini barebone system, includes three different series: Fur Fusion for Home, Fur Fusion for SoHo, and Fur Fusion for Game.
The concept of designing three different series for its new mini barebone product line is part of Chenming?s strategy of product segmentation within the competitive PC market. This strategy is unique from those of other companies, which typically establish standard production plans for their products. Chenming focuses instead on relatively small quantities, but takes a more complex, diverse marketing-oriented approach. For its LCD TV, Chenming cooperates with its vendors and suppliers through strategic alliances. Unlike its direct marketing approach for Fur Fusion, Chenming indrectly participates in the digital home integrated market through providing LCD TVs as an ODM and OEM.
Chenming is indeed aggressively undertaking innovative, digital home concepts and will likely be in a strategic position to advance within the integrated digital home products markets in the future.
